How has your experience at Greenham contributed to your professional growth and development?
My goal when searching for a graduate program was to gain experience across all areas of the production process. It was important to me that a graduate program helped me to understand the entire production process as someone just starting in the industry. Greenham is giving me that opportunity to learn from people from a wide range of skill sets and gain knowledge of each step involved in meat processing.

What advice would you give to potential applicants considering a role at Greenham?
If you are considering applying for a graduate position at Greenham my advice would be to do it, you will not regret. I could not be happier with my decision to accept my role at Greenham. The team have been with me to celebrate every win and help me through every challenge I faced since beginning my career with the company. It has been the prefect place to learn and grow as a young professional starting in the meat industry.

    What opportunities are there for career advancement or specialisation within Greenham?
    This role with Greenham has presented me with career advancement opportunities I never thought possible as a graduate so early on in my career. I continue to learn something new in my production role every single day, but I also get the chance to learn from others in different areas of the business to grow my understanding of this supply chain as a whole, and for me, that is everything I wanted at this stage in my career.

    In your opinion, what makes Greenham an attractive employer for graduates looking to start their careers in 2025?
    The company is growing and continually looking to improve, and part of this is investing time in developing their people. They value bringing enthusiastic young people into the business and working alongside them to grow them into roles they are passionate about, giving you all the support along the way. I found this so appealing when I was a graduate looking to start my career, and almost 6 months in I can definitely say it has more than lived up to that.

During my training as a livestock buyer for Greenham, I have encountered numerous opportunities for learning and skill development. I’ve gained a comprehensive understanding of the supply chain by working in various aspects, from procurement to the end product. This experience has enabled me to apply my knowledge effectively in my role as a livestock buyer, with a deep appreciation and awareness of the business needs and end goals.

    Being a part of the Greenham Livestock Supply Chain team has provided me with a wealth of opportunities to learn from a diverse array of people, including fellow work colleagues, producers, and other industry members. This exposure has been instrumental in broadening my understanding of the supply chain and the industry. I have enhanced my technical skills through hands-on experiences and training sessions. My analytical and problem-solving abilities have been developed by tackling real-world challenges and drafting solutions in collaboration with my colleagues and industry partners.
